Can I Please Keep Them........

I've been pretty good with not getting overly attached to the pieces I bring home to refinish but these side/end tables have just stolen my heart, especially since their turquoise.  You would never know by looking at my house but I have a huge love for anything and everything turquoise, unfortunately my husband doesn't quite share the same love.  Needless to say if I can find somewhere to put these beauties before they end up selling they are staying with me!

I've been desperately waiting to use my ASCP colour Provence and when these tables came up I just couldn't resist.

I did one coat and ended up finding it to much and just wasn't working for me.  So I did a custom Old White and Pure White mix and decided to do a white wash overtop.  As I was going along I ended up finding a new white washing technique that ended up doing my distressing for me and the overall look of it turned out to be perfect.

I just love the before and after, especially those gorgeous huge wood knobs!  I was going to paint them to match but quickly changed my mind after holding it up to a finished drawer.  So glad I didn't, it just ties it all in and finishes it so nicely.

These beauties are for sale on my Facebook page, stop by and see my other current listings.

Current Projects Keeping me Busy.........

Unfortunately of late it seems that its getting harder and harder to have time for my furniture or get anything done.  As much as I am sad that all these lovely pieces are just sitting here I haven't been idle. It's been a lot of early mornings before work and going full tilt on days off to finally start finishing up the at home to do list.  My husband and I refer to this list as our hundred thousand dollar wish list, and maybe one day we will be lucky enough to accomplish it all.  For now were more then happy to cross a few long over due items off!

Three years ago we started this shop and am so happy and proud to say we finally finished!  Its more then we ever imagined and we are so thankful.  If only it came with a paved driveway ;)

This picture doesn't quite do the colour justice its actually a beautiful grey, once we get more landscaping and things organized better I will take some pictures that show this beauty off better.

After we passed the inspection we could finally finish our dog pen, Tyler and I have been planning this dog pen for what seems like forever and for a couple amateur DIY's were both happy with the end result.  I'd like to say the dogs appreciate it as much as we do.......

We poured the cement pad at the same time we did the floor in the shop which was probably a good year and a half or more ago and set the posts.  We had a temporary structure until the final inspection of the shop and tore it down to this stage.

We've dubbed it, "the stable" and firmly believe we have moved into the crazy dog owner category.  We built it so some of the panels are removable as we have heated dog beds and water dishes so no cords showing or able to get damaged or chewed on.  I don't have pictures of the backside but there's a gutter there and we also have covered storage to hang all our yard equipment.  We still have a few things to finish up but the dogs are happily living it up in their new digs.

Sincerely,
Sasha
